Storyville Writing Academy

January 21 saw the launch of Storyville Writing Academy’s season of Masterclasses for 2008.

You can find them on:
http://www.thebig-leap.com/storyville.phtml

Storyville was founded by two dynamic women, Suzy Greaves and Justina Hart, and provides inspiring, affordable writing events – from masterclasses to workshops - with the best teachers and writers in the world. So you can imagine I was hugely flattered to be asked to open the season with a talk on the theme of ‘I have a dream of writing a novel...in 2008’.
It was a double-launch, really, because Suzy very kindly announced the setting up of Narratives Online.com. Several of the 90 strong audience said they would be logging on to the NarrativesOnline.com to check out what’s on offer.

I have already confessed that I’m terrible with technology but we did make an attempt to capture the talk on a camcorder as well as audio – if it works out, I’ll put it on the site at some point, soon.

Meanwhile look out for the notes from that talk which Suzy Greaves very efficiently summarised and sent out to all those who attended.

Right this minute I’m working on a free e-book for writers based on past blogs. I’m aiming to bring together notes on the ‘core tools’ required for all forms of writing. I had hoped to have it ready for the launch of the site, but...it’s proving demanding. I’ll do my best to get there very soon.

Meanwhile, enjoy what’s on the site.

Your comments, queries, suggestions are all welcome.
The ASK SHAH facility allows you to put your most pressing writing questions to me direct.
Please bear with us while we iron out glitches and get all the details right. You can start posting despite ongoing work. We’ve been busy as you’ll see from the interview, the free audio download and my blogs - so do keep popping back to check what’s on offer.

We should be moving from BETA to LIVE very, very soon...

Speak soon,

Shah
